Snapped this picture of my sun coral opened up under my unhappy leather. All of the lights are on so no idea why they decided to open, but I don't mind.

Thats cool!!! I have had a couple of them before and had to get rid of them just could never get them out and happy...

they open at night. but you can train them with food to open when you feed or when the lights come on by feeding them at that time

Great coral. The only bummer is that they should be feed every night or every other night. If you do they will grow realy good.

I only directly feed them maybe once a week. I've got a power head aimed at it so food sometimes gets blown at it. Since I got it back in about October it's only grow one little baby head, but it's happy.
