Frogspawn - Hammers - Candy Canes - Do you target feed?

Just curious if other people target feed their Frogspawn, Hammers and Candy Canes? If so, what and how do you feed them and how often?

frogspawn no, hammers not really, candy canes sometimes but only because I'm target feeding the zoas in the growout and my other acans as well as the chalices and acans with a mixture of oyster feast, cyclopeeze, brine. I do this every 2 to 3 days.

If it was just the hammers and candy canes I wouldn't make the effort. I also have a dendro I feed.

I don't target feed as such however I do feed the entire tank. I.E. I feed the coral food (Rotifers one feeding, homemade the next) by putting it in the path of a power head and let it spread around to all of the corals. I usually do this when the candy canes have their feeders extended. (My Chocolate Mint Candy Canes have 2" feeders that come out every couple of days)

I feed my entire tank.. but if you must only target feed because you have a large tank and you dont want to pollute I'd definately target feed the candy canes. the hammer head and frog spawns dont care, but my candy canes love it... I started a year ago with two heads. now I lost track of how many I have

I've never been able to get my Hammer or Frogspawn to feed on anything, same with the Torch Coral. But Candy Canes, OH YEAH!!(rock2) I have quite a few Candy Canes, and I target feed all of them, Usually after the lights go out they open up and almost look like what Acans look like when they feed.

I feed Mysis and Brine to all my feeding LPS....the Candy canes grow exponentially if target fed, you will notice the heads getting big and then splitting, I currently have one head that is getting ready to split into 4:eek:
