A bristleworm got me.DOH!

I can't seem to get the last "bristle" out...anyone have any tips?

put superglue on it let it dry and pull it off that seems to work

After you follow Bob's advice. Soak your hand in warm water for about a half hour, then ice it, if you want to reduce swelling.
I got stung once and didn't treat the wound.

Hows it feeling? I haven't had that happen yet, not looking forward to it. Did you get the bristle out?

Duck tape over it will get it out too. Everything sticks to duck tape, just put a strip over it and remove.

I think I still have one in there.:(

I've now tried everything. I think I'm just going to have to wait for my body to react to it, so it will help push it out. It's been glued, taped, soaked, swabbed, cleaned, and even picked at...

How's it feel? OUCH! I'd rather be stepped on my my horse. Seriously!:eek:

I didn't even see it until it was too late.

I have always found that in situations like this a bottle of Bacardi 151 usually helps more than anything.

Swab the affected area with vinegar to neutralize the venom, then apply topical hydrocortizone cream to reduce inflammation.

Funny, I found great relief with coconut rum.:D

however, today is my "floor" day at the office, and for some darn reason they want me sober to answer the phones.:p I still have a spot on my finger that is all red and angry, but I'm not sure if it's because there is still something in there, or just because there was...

Mike is watching it pretty close. Nothing like having your very own paramedic.whistle

Sorry about the evil bristleworm. I have yet to get tagged by one. Been a couple of close calls though!
