Vodka dosing day 4

Well I am on day 4 of vodka dosing. My PO4 was.17 by Hanna meter, (thanks you Dr Merle). I just increased the dosage to 1ml in my 120. I can already see the big patch of hair algae dissapating and the tank looks much better. Now I have to go buy the Hanna Meter and a good nitrate kit. My nitrates were 50 to 100. Way too high for me.

I am not dosing any kalk however. Should I? I read the article in Reefkeeping on RC and it said nothing about kalk.

i'm interested in your results. i was thinking about trying this too for a rock i have alot of hair algae growth on.

You should try the pellets. There are lots of good results on RC. They are called Vodka pellets, even if there is no spirit in it :)

Let us know. I have a LaMotte low range nitrate kit that I like. Kinda spendy, but easy to read and the refills are not to dear.

I just like dripping kalk in my ATO water, unrelated to vodka.
