For the last year I have been thinking about opening the warehouse to the public. Im just wondering if there would be enough interest from all you fine folks on the Oregon side. If we were to open to the public would you make the drive over to shop at OIAB?(scary)
I think you could do it Perry to where you hours were very limited. Something like Wednesday - Saturday 12-5? Who knows :)

They better not get a five dollar off for showing a Oregon drivers license.

The no response was mine.
I don't live in Oregon, it was the best answer.
Kinda hard to drive from Oregon to Washington when you live in Washington :P
I was starting to wonder if you were going to close up shop. I noticed your coral selection seemed to be getting very low. If i'm not mistaken you only have one zoa frag left. Those blue pearls are beautiful by the way.

Those blue pearls are beautiful by the way.The only thing about my business that gets stagnit is the website and i HATE THAT. I hate it because it is the biggest margin in my business, but it also requires the most attention and time. If i open the shop it adds another eliment to my schedule which is already a one man operation. I dont mind it so much because it challanges me and im always up for a challange.DOH!
A few months back we were contemplating selling the business and going into something else. I think i am meant to be here. At least for now. I have been blessed so much in the last few months with many new opportunities. I am glad i stuck it out. Anyway, its just something im thinking very hard about and I am hoping to have a decison by June/July:D Thanks for all your votes of confidence.

keep in mind that all the no responses are from local stores...lol JKThats too funny. I already have a predetermined number of NO's in my head. Some are shops and some well,...... you know who you are....LOL But seriously I have a few shop owners(friends) and they really have my back. Some folks look at it as a dog eat dog world. And others look at it like, you help me and I'll help you and we will all get through it a better person tommorrow. (I like those guys)..and yes, you know who you are too!!!!!(laugh)

And that is the way local businesses who are in the same field should work, if you work together, you can actually manage to keep more people happy LOL.

Thats the reason for the poll. Method to the madness.

I might drive up once in a few months to check out the corals. I go weekly to my LFS around here to the one/two that fully stock supplies. If I'm working on a project, before I buy online, I'll stop in for bulkheads, bulbs, fittings, etc also food, cleaning supplies and of course I rarely leave without a coral or critter :D

I think it is safe to say for the right corals and right price people are going to be willing to drive. I know myself I have taken 4 hour trips for corals....
Perry, regardless of our history you have always had very nice selections....just thought I would throw that out there.

I would stop by if I knew you were open "certain hours on certain days".
I could just add you to the loop when I make the day trip north.
