I had some cyno so I did a treatment with chemi clean. I let it run it's 48 hour course, did a 6 gal water change(29 gal. Bio Cube) plugged my Sapphire Aquatics BC29 skimmer back in & now it's filling the collection cup with clear water in a minute and a half. I've gotten about a gallon of water so far. It did not do this before the treatment. I've heard of protein skimmers going crazy after using this stuff but is it normal to get this much clear water? & if so how long should I expect it? Mike

Yes, it is normal to have all that clear water in you cup. It took my skimmer a few days to calm down. Finally I removed the collection cup and just let it run over for a few hours, seemed to do the trick and haven't had any problems since. My skimmer is in the sump, so if you have a hang on then removing the collection cup obviously won't work.

This is pretty normal. You might have to do another water change. The foaming issue is kinda hard to control after a Chemi-Clean treatment.

Yep, normal, it's been a while since I had used it but I do think something about running carbon was used to get the rest of the stuf out after the water change.

Hey Mike

I too would recommend running some carbon through there. Let me know if you need some and I'll hook you up with a bag.

I am running carbon(always do) I slowed the skimmer down & that did the trick.
