Welcome to the world of herpetology. You and your family are going to have a blast watching that tortoise turn into a hundred pound blob with legs. Everyone always asks why I carry reptiles, well it's because I sell the crap out of them, plus they are pretty cool.:D
Thanks Mike and family

Cool, at my work we got in some Pancake tortoises and some soon to be on the endangered list ornate turtles. The pancakes look freakishly thin. yikes!

Here he/she/it is!!!!!!!!!!! Tank fits in the palm of your hand and weighs about as much as an egg. Sooooo tiny, not for long though.

How big, how fast do they grow? How big would one be that size in 5 years. Just wondering. Thanks Ryan

Hey Ryan
Travis had one that was around 6 years old and was the size of shoe box, (give or take), Not sure how much that one weighed. They can get to be 100+ pounds and are the third largest tortise in the world.
Man that would be so cool. My aunt used to raise tortise's when I was little. I cant remeber what kind they were. They are so cool. Later Ryan

We have been told to expect the tortise to out live us, (he'll pass me easy), so I figure when then time comes and we need to move him. We'll call a zoo to take over.
