Ooops. So now i get to spend the rest of my day trying out different recovery software and spending a fortune. Hurray!

Man that sucks Dan. I just got a 2 gig Nano for my girlfriends for her birthday. She loves it. Now I gotta download music, Ugghhh . Later Ryan

Ya, Im bummed but I think I found a way to recover it. Its going to take nine years to complete but Ill get it back. I loved my nano when I worked for apple. I sold it to pay for a new dart pump. :)

Hey at least you have your priorities, :). Yeah Im pretty impressed with the whole Itunes thing also. Much easier to play and sort music than crappy Windows Media Player. Later Ryan

oh ya, iTUnes is way better however I dont like that when you buy music you cant play it without a password. ITs yorur music, so you should be able to share it without a password.

Can't you just restore windows back to before you deleted the stuff?

Dammit, I always forget about windows restore....but wait....does that restore things like music? I thought it was just settings?

Might be, not sure i don't use it often. I don't know if it restores lost files.

Checked on it, and it looks like thats a no. Oh well

Restored:

• Registry

• Profiles (local only; roaming user profiles are not affected by restore)

• COM+ DB

• WFP.dll cache

• WMI DB

• IIS Metabase

• File types monitored by System Restore as specified in the SDK document Monitored File Extensions


Not restored:

• DRM settings

• Passwords in the SAM hive

• WPA settings (Windows authentication information is not restored)

• Specific directories/files listed in the Monitored File Extensions list in the System Restore section of the Platform SDK e.g. 'My Documents' folder

• Any file types not monitored by System Restore (.doc, .jpg, etc.)

• Items listed in both Filesnottobackup and KeysnottoRestore (hklm->system->controlset001->control->backuprestore->filesnottobackup and keysnottorestore) in the registry

• User-created data stored in the user profile

• Contents of redirected folders
