I know it's a been a long while, but we just listed some of the most awesome pieces of corals that we have ever posted on ebay. Some pieces were so spectacular, that we had to place reserve starting bids. To view this weeks auctions, click the link below........

Question for you. I noticed you have a few Japanese zoa's there. I have been reading thread after thread and post after post of people who are having issues keeping them alive in their tanks. Have you had any such issues? If not why do you think that is? Some, not all, of the people that I have read posts from that are having such issues are not novices, and seem to know what they are doing.

I don't know but that it might be a good idea to place your items 6-10 minutes apart. What with the high cost of shipping, it might encourage higher bidding on other items after one is won, since they are already paying for shipping and additional items are easily included. YMMV.

It is a most important question. To answer your question, I have not lost a single polyp. NOT ONE....Our zoas go through a double quarantine and dip cycle and thats what has been our saving grace. The others are taking the shipments direct from the ocean and stressing them out through trans-shippers who simply forward them on to the suppliers accross the USA. There is so much stress that the fungus will form rapidily causing almost the entire colonies to be wiped out. My supplier figured out how to protect himself early on. He gets the zoas and then dips them in Furan2 and then immediately quarantines them in a tank with a lot of flow. After 4 days the zoas are then stable enough to ship over to me. I then examine and redip the zoas with tropic marin procure and then place them into my zoa tank. So far not one single polyp lost.

YMMV.I run typically 75-100 auctions on every auction cycle I run. Spacing them out in 5 minute increments would make the auction stretch out to almost 8 hours and I really dont think I can maintain an audiance on eBay for 8 hours. I have been doing eBay almost 12 years now and have concluded people will know what they want to bid on and how much they are willing to spend long before the auction is completed. And unless they are all last minute bidders, they will place there bids accordingly in plenty of time before the auction is over. But thanks for taking notes, Im always open to suggestions.

Believe it or not, most of the bidders ride out the entire auction with me. It's a fun filled action packed hour and a half. Lots of surprises in the last few minutes.

I'm using the furan2 right now to get a set of zoas to pull through. My fingers are crossed. It's good to here you and your supplier are having great results with furan2 and the tropic marin dip too. Gives me a breath of hope for mine.(clap)
