You know, it's funny how the eyes/brain perceive light. When I first started the tank, I couldn't believe how bright it was with the metal halides and the actinics on. It was like looking outside on a sunny summer day. Then I tried photographing my little marine buddies; there isn't as much light in there as one might think. Actually, it's very dim compared to even an overcast day :(

Boy, do I know what you mean! Reef photography is very challenging! It seems like I take hundreds of shots to get that one good one. Thank goodness for digital photography! I'd be broke if I used film! (laugh)
