So, this is something that hasn't happened to me before:
I just discovered one of my anthias in the overflow!

It's kind of cramped in there and the fish hides from the net behind the two standpipes in there.
Can anyone think of a way to get it out?

Do you have any lighting under there? If so turn them off for half an hour. Let fish go to sleep ZZZZZ Then try and get it. I would also leave the net in there so your ready to mab it quick.

Thanks!
We'll have to get a smaller net first, and then we'll try the "lights out".
Will report in later...

I used a slotted spoon (typically used for pasta noodles) to get a fish out of my overflow once since my net was too big. I eventually got him with the spoon.

Thanks! Another good idea!
My husband is off to Freddy's for a smaller net, but I'll try it with a slotted spoon for now.
I just wish the overflow wasn't so deep!

Turn the water flow off, and take out the standpipes. The fish will go out the bottom bulkhead into your filtersock. Then it is easy to put it all back together, and take the fish out of the sock.

Fish is back in the tank!
I blocked off all the hiding places with pvc pipe and bent the net over to lie flat on the bottom. Then I turned off the light for a bit and was able to catch it a short while later. It's in hiding right now, but will hopefully be okay!

Thanks for all the help!
